Sustainability

The most widely accepted definition of "sustainability" comes from the 1987 Brundtland Report, which stated that "sustainable development is that which meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs." It is the embracing of this growth perspective that has enabled Gwinnett County to experience rapid high-quality growth over the past two decades — and it is imperative that sustainability remain at the center of Gwinnett County's business community in the coming years.

Sustainability Task Force: Promotes Gwinnett as the leading Sustainable community in the region and educates the business community on ways to become more sustainable.
